Purpose: The purpose of this coverage is to delineate watershed council boundaries for mapping purposes. Supplemental_Information: Procedures_Used: The fifcl theme was created by clipping the fifth field watershed coverage to the coastal salmon migration boundary (area that drains directly into the Pacific Ocean. The fifth field watersheds was edited to show the extent of each watershed council. Annotation was added labeling each of the watershed councils. The results were tarred to tape and stored. One year later the data was restored from tape. Several lines were added to delineate new watershed councils along the northern oregon coast. In all cases Ken Bierly (GWEB) reviewed the boundaries pointing out necessary changes. Upon final approval the data was tarred onto tape until it was brought back off tape to create metadata and put it up on the GIS Service Center Webpage. The name of the theme was changed to cnclbndy to better represent what the theme was. Revisions: The data was revised in the summer of 1997 in order to split an existing watershed council into two watershed councils. Reviews_Applied_to_Data: The theme was reviewed for completeness and correctness by the analyst project manager and client. The labelerrors command was run on the theme prior to its inclusion on the SSCGIS ftp site.
